I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2013 the same year as being diagnosed with breast cancer. I have found it difficult not to be paranoid about each new symptom and always worry it’s going to be the cancer returning. I am very well looked after by my gp and always get offered scans etc for new symptoms. Yesterday my whole body had pins and needles, only for a few minutes but it scared me and left me feeling very washed out. Does anybody suffer with similar ?.

Hi Lucylacey and welcome

I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time. You sound like a very brave lady and my heart goes out to you. I get pins and needles very often in my arms and especially in my legs. As far as I'm aware it is a symptom of Fibromyalgia.

I hope you enjoy your evening. Take care 🤗

Thanks. I get through it with support of an amazing husband. He banned me from doing anything today. Lol.

Yes, pins and needles can be common in fibro sufferers x

Pins and needles are normal for me and during flare ups I get them in my eyes

Sorry you've had to put up with so much, quite understand your concern over new symptoms. Wretched fibr just seems to like throwing odd things at us. I'm another with pins and needles, mostly in my feet.

It's worth getting your B12 checked as pins and needles can be a symptom of deficiency but it's most likely fibro.

Yes,I developed my fibro after my treatment for my breast cancer. I was first of all told it was radio therapy fatigue so there's definitely a link! I would urge you to phone both your oncologist and your GP to discuss it. Good luck. Xx
