Hello Shazz_0

Welcome to the forum :)

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your mum last year. Please accept my deepest condolences on your very sad loss.

I have lived with Fibro & ME for 36 years and I am not in the slightest surprised that your Fibro symptoms have become unmanageable.

It is without doubt down to the stress of going through such a deep loss that you have found your medication is no longer working.

I am very sorry if this is a stupid question, but have you been to see your GP and had a chat with him/her about whether your meds can be tweaked or changed?

What mg of Amitryptyline are you on? The max dose is around 175mg and so it could be that upping your Amitryptyline could help? However, please do check this with your GP first.

You may find it of interest to have a look at our mother site. There is a lot of information on there that you may find useful fmauk.org

Once again a very warm welcome to a wonderful bunch of people who will do their best to help and support you through this difficult time.

Wishing you much peace in your life

Hi Shazz_0 welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.

I'm sorry you have lost your mum, it's a real devasting thing for anyone to have to live through and as BlueMermaid3 already mentioned, is enough to bring on a flare and you really should return to GP because I'm sure there would be something that can help you get you pain more manageable. I just wanted to say Hi & I look forward to chatting with you on the forum.

Peace, luv n light
