Ouch, back pain
Hello Maisy,
I have had lower back pain for about 25 years but had the fibro for about 20, I dont no if the fibro makes it worse but I wake up constantly through the night where I have to change sides also reactivate my heatpad. In the morning its awful, like you say goes into spasm, not always for very long put very painfull. I have recently had an xray but have as yet not been told what it found. I also have sciatica and this is so horrid somedays. I would get it checked just in case but be prepared for dr just putting it down to fibro anyway!!
hey, I have chronic lower back pain, I don't feel like it goes into spasm though, it feels deeper into my bones!!!
Sharon, it's really bizarre, I went to the Dr with the complaint esp as i can't stand for too long and he said they don't do Xrays on lower backs due to the intense radiation which could cause cancer in your overies??? have I had the wool pulled over my eyes as he just thinks I've neuropathic pain and wonder if he is fobbing me off. I really hope not as he was someone I trusted and thought would always help me.
Funnily enough another Dr told me I needed to be referred to a back specialist!!! That's more like it!!!
xx
Hi Maisy
I have exact same thing...lower back pain which can be chronic at times. In the morning i am very stiff and sometimes cannot sit up, so i have to roll of the bed onto my knees and then stand. There have been occasions when it's been so bad, my husband has to help me get up and i've been crying in pain.
Big hugs
Nicola
I've had lower back and hip pain for years now and I have osteoarthritis and fibro. How do you know which pain is which? I thought my lower back and hip pain was the arthritis but now I wonder. Still, it doesn't really matter I suppose.
Getting sat up in bed and out of bed is very painful. I have terrible pain when the dentist lays me down in the chair or when I have my hair washed at the hairdressers and also the osteopath.
It's a bit of a relief to know that it is probably the fibro causing it, though i will chat to my Gp, he is good about the condition even though he admits that most of his information about the condition comes from me and we are both learning how to deal with the symptoms together.
Thanks guys xx
