Hello alicev a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can get advice, support, help and understanding, along with a chuckle or two to lighten the day.

Have you seen our Mother Site fmauk.org ? Here you will find useful imformation about fibro including guifeds and links. One such link will take you to Janet, our Benefits Adviser who may be able to help you.

I suggest you google for a Disability Advocate in your local area who would advise you about what happens next and in certain cases, accompany you. This is a free service.

Have you tried the Citizens Advice? They are helpful and discreet but you may have to wait for an appointment as they are a bit overwhelmed. Don't delay in contacting them.

If you type PIP appeal in the search box, you will find other members experiences which you may be able to follow.

If you look to the right in Pinned Posts in blue you will find instructions on how to lock your post, which we advise for your internet security. You will get more replies from a locked post as they will be locked too. There are also tips on how to get the most out of the forum.

I do hope you get a good outcome. Don't give up the battle just yet, there are quite a few members who have been where you are and won their appeals.

Looking forward to seeing you around the forum.

Kay

Hi alicev

Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have never been through anything of this nature myself but I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with your mandatory reconsideration. Please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi there sorry you are going through this, i was declinrd DLA, i was then refused at statutary reconsideration, i was then declined at appeal stage, i went to tribunal and won hands down with 18 months back pay. My CAB advisor informed me that a portion of applications aer just declined without ever having been read and the face to face assessment disregarded . At my face to face assessment the assessor said im really sorry you have even been brought here, i wont bother to examine you it is obvious you are severely disabled, im really sorry i will sendvit back with a recommendation that they never put you through this again AND STILL I WAS DECLINED!. I have just been through it all again for changing to PIP and was awarded 41 points out of required 12. Best of luck dealing with these corrupt individuals.

Blessings
