Follow up from the Dr on week legs.

Well hello everyone . Tiz me country gal. Well I did like most of you sujested for me to do. I went to see my Dr. Here's his in put. He feels that due to the huge weather pattern swings lately this could be the blame. However he also sujested I go for therapy not physio or massage but to go where I can get help to strengthen the useless better and to loosen them up . He tested my legs and says my muscles are screaming for proper usage. I laughed and asked how can I get that when my legs don't want to function. He laughed too. He also sujested ebsom salt bath in warm water, to try to help ease some of the muscle tenting. I cannot do massage as the pain is so bad when they work with me all I do is cry . So that is out the window. Also he said to sit in a jacuzzi so the Jets can work my legs .I'm going to do all he sujested. There's a clinic here where I live that works with people and helps them learn to symplify what you do so you don't use all your energy up all at once. Plus there is a water class through the pain clinic that is free. It helps with getting the muscles moving and helps with weight loss and yes I'm a chubby lady.lol . So the appointment went very well as far as I'm concerned. He is running blood tests as well to make sure everything is good with that .he wants me back to see him in a couple of weeks for a follow up. He's very worried about me and my jelly legs. He's hoping I can gain some strength back. As I'm using a walker to get around and a scooter in the store. He's worried I'll end up back in the wheelchair and loos all feeling again. Partial paralysis. When all this fibro stuff started I ended up in the hospital completely paralyzed. They thought it was MS,and a buck of other things. I started getting my feelings back and my husband would daily come to the hospital and massage my body head to toe. Just to keep my curculation working. And it worked it's all due to him I'm able to walk again. That God for my wonderful man.I have no idea how I'd get through this desease without him. Well gang that's a bit of my history. And the update of the Dr's appointment I had. So I'm glad I went in to see him . Thanks everyone for giving me the motivation to go.

Hi Country-gal Oh thats good news my friend, I am glad you had a good appointment and you now can see a way forward and I really hope all the advise will improve things for you which I'm sure they will. You are very lucky to have such a wonderful husband.

Hi Country girl- just briefly- agree with using Jacuzzi as much as poss. try to get some hydrotherapy sessions with a specialist physio-even better and Yes My brain has forgotten to tell my legs "one in front of the other" some days,, goodluck
