Help!

Hello my name is Jody and i have been Dx with Fibromialga and i am having such a hard time i am not able to take the meds that help with this because i am a Lymphoma survivor! I have no appetite and i am only 125lbs so i can not afford to loose anymore weight. i have been drinking protein shakes or Boost to help. The pain this week is wearing me down and my only relief is pain meds.. but that only goes so far too.. any suggestions would be helpful i am trying to figure all this out. I did not realize that Fibro could cause so many problems in the body or this level of pain.. :-(

Hi jodylove first let me welcome you to our wonderful forum ☺I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you & talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro & learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we are.

I am sorry you are suffering so much at the moment, have you recently been to your GP.? Maybe you could ask for referal to pain clinic or back to Rhuematologist. It must be very srressful to be struggling so much with your appetite. I'm one of the unlucky ones & keep piling weight on with certain medication and immobility, it's a constant battle for me to lose weight.

Please do go look at the mother site where you will find all the information you need and lots of useful links on Fibro and I look forward to chatting to you on the forum.

Hello jodylove and welcome to this friendly fibro forum. I am sorry you are suffering with so much pain at the moment and nothing can be done medication wise, it must be very difficult for you.

I think I would discuss your appetite and weight problem with your doctor, perhaps ask for a referral to a nutritionist which may help you with this.

Well done on being a survivor of Lymphoma, that must have been a hard and trying time. I am a cancer survivor of six years so know something of what you have been through.

I hope now you have found us here, that we will see you around the forum.

Take care

Kay
