My dog was also called Poppy she was a Golden Retriever we did competition obedience and she was very good we spent many an hour practicing she was also chosen to compete in field sport but we didn't. I participated In quite a few demonstration in front of big crowds, we did all sorts of obedience work and also search work where she would find my purse or keys from within a pile of others, I really enjoyed it when we were on a walk very often I would drop a glove or something and at the end of the walk I would give her my scent and say find and she would seek and find the article in bushes and ferns she would smell it out, I still miss her and it is about 8 years ago she died. I have another Goldie now and a Gordon Setter but I am too poorly to train either one except for basic obedience. So that's where I got the name Poppy my name is Sue. X

Our beagle is very sent minded and cannot be let off the leash. She is also very belligerent too, but we love her anyway. Our Cockapoo, Misty is two years younger and just thinks she's human! She's very loving and affectionate and does as she's asked. She's a little excitable but very sensitive to people's moods and if they're ill. She will just sit with you. Where as Poppy is not interested.

Due to my fibro I can't do as much, but they love us and we love them, they are family 👍😊
