Welcome Edwin have you had chance to look at our mother site Fibromyalgia Action UK as there is alot of good information on symptoms and treatments.
Many of us have found we have vision problems one day our vision seems fine and then another day it seems to be blurred or double and it makes getting suitable glasses very difficult. Many also have what they call tinnitus which is probably what is wrong with your ears. It can be part of fibro or it can be a side effect of medication. I am presuming you have already been to your doctor to make sure that there is actually no other reason for the sounds in your ears such as an infection or hearing problem and the same with your eye?
Since I have had fibro I have both problems. My friend who had tinnitus badly was referred to a specialist who fitted her with a form if hearing aid which masks the noise in your ear and somehow retrains the ear to respond differently. Before this she was very down and depressed with it and it made such a difference to her life and she no longer has to wear the aid.
Noted!! But I went to different hospitals around tz but they keep telling me as allergic problem!! And they gave me some of drugs to solve my problem but still nothing changes too!! Need u and maybe u can help me positively!!
Thanks also for that you have tell been told above!!
I feel that the noises in my ears have actually been made worse by an ongoing sinus problem I have that causes congestion and something they call perennial rhinitis. I take a daily antihistamine tablet but over the lasat few years that does not seem to ahve worked so well. I have also noticed a difference since I have been on multiple medications as I think it can be a side effect of one or two I am on. Hope others will be along to help you.
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so sorry that you are experiencing these issues and I sincerely hope that you feel better soon. I have pasted you an excerpt below that looks at ''Tinnitus'' which causes issues with noises in your ears:
Introduction:
Tinnitus is the term for hearing sounds that come from inside your body, rather than from an outside source.
It's often described as "ringing in the ears", although several sounds can be heard, including:
buzzing
humming
grinding
hissing
whistling
Some people may hear sounds similar to music or singing, and others hear noises that beat in time with their pulse (pulsatile tinnitus).
You may also notice that your hearing is not as good as it used to be or you're more sensitive to everyday sounds (hyperacusis).
I have also pasted you an excerpt on the potential causes of double-vision:
Causes of double vision:
Double vision can occur in one or both eyes, and can be caused by several different conditions.
Double vision in one eye (monocular)
Double vision in one eye is known as monocular double vision. Double vision continues when the unaffected eye is covered, but you should be able to see normally when the affected eye is covered.
It can be caused by:
an irregularly shaped cornea (astigmatism), which is a refractive error
dry eye, which is when your eye does not produce enough tears
abnormalities of the cornea
abnormalities of the lens, such as cataracts (cloudy patches over the lens)
abnormalities of the retina, such as macular degeneration
The cornea is located at the front of the eye and acts like a camera lens, helping to focus the light coming into the eye.
The retina is a light-sensitive layer of tissue at the back of the eye that converts light entering the eye into electrical signals.
Monocular double vision is rare. Astigmatism and cataracts are the most common causes.
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
I have pasted you below excerpts from NHS Choices for treatments as I am not allowed to recommend medications or treatments to members:
Treating tinnitus:
There's not usually a quick fix for tinnitus, but it will often improve gradually over time. A number of treatments are available to help you cope.
If your tinnitus is caused by an underlying health condition, treating the condition will help stop or reduce the sounds you hear.
For example, if your tinnitus is caused by an earwax build-up, eardrops or ear irrigation may be used. Ear irrigation involves using a pressurised flow of water to remove the earwax.
I have also pasted you the link to read on this as it is quite lengthy:
Treating double vision:
If you have double vision, your treatment will depend on whether you have double vision in one eye (monocular) or both eyes (binocular), and the underlying cause.
