Hello, I empathise with you. This happens to me on a regular basis however I am unaware of why it happens. I always feel hot but only realise I'm cold on one side when I touch that particular side!

I'm never hot :-( but my right side is colder than my left. Thank you for bringing the subject up, I was going to ask my GP. No point now, "it's fibro".

Edited By Admin don't get in habit of blaming FIBRO for everything. Just because you have FIBRO , you can still have other problems that need to be checked out by your doctor . I almost died because my regular GP chalked up my latest complaint of pain as just FIBRO. Turned out I had pneumonia and 2 blood clots in my lungs. I went to ER the next day after seeing him with pain so bad I could stand it . The hospitalist that took care of me said " good thing you got here when you did". The pulmanologist I saw after I got out of hospital said on my first visit " I just finished reading your file and you are ONE LUCKY LADY". When you are a FIBRO patient sometimes that is all they see. You have to be your own advocate, you know your body, insist further tests if necessary. I knew that was not FIBRO pain that I was feeling.

I have recently moved but with a recommendation from my old GP have found my new GP to be very caring and a good listener. When I asked about my shoulder being cold she found arthritis. I didn't bombard her with my pelvis, hip and knee :-)

I have a medical background which sometimes helps, I don't accept just anything from medics :-)

Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately get this all the time either boiling or freezing or blanket over thighs as freezing and boiling hands and feet. I put it down to the joys of fibro.x

Hi Jazmen

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling with this issue, and I sincerely hope that you can find some relief to the problem. There is a condition called Hyperhidrosis which affects many Fibro sufferers but I would discuss it with your doctor first just to get other medical conditions ruled out of the equation. Also, poor circulation could cause this to happen to you, something else that should also be ruled out first my friend.

I have pasted you the NHS Choices cache on Hyperhidrosis so I sincerely hope that you find this useful

I always think that the golden rule with anything new or any persistent symptoms is to have them checked out prior to assuming that it is Fibro. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and pl;ease take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
