I've been lurking here and replying to the odd post for a week or so and thought I'd better introduce myself.
I have recently been diagnosed with Fibro which I think I have had for a couple of years but I had put the symptoms down to Ankylosing Spondylitis which I was misdiagnosed with around ten years ago.
I'm 48, mother of two girls ages 21 and 18 who are a great help when things are bad. I work part time in a desk job although when the Fibro fog is at its worst I do wonder how long I'll be able to continue.
We are all off to Cornwall for a family holiday today. No idea where the energy will come from; organising 6 humans and two dogs seems like a mammoth task, but I'll find it if it kills me! lol.
So that's me in a nutshell. Happy to be here with other people who understand the reality of this cruddy illness.

I always like the idea of lurking for a while It gives you a good feel for the forum. I lurked as well!
You may have seen me talking about locking posts. When you return from your holiday you may like to look into doing this for future posts.
It's not about hiding anything from anyone, it's about good Internet safety which is my concern. There are easy to follow steps on how to lock posts on the right of your screen, under Pinned Posts in blue. If you need any help just give me a shout.
Have a look at our mother site. You'll find lots of useful information about Fibromyalgia on there fmauk.org
