Hi so with everything that goes along side of fibro, dried skin is the most annoying, I've tried a lot of moisturising cream and haven't found one that works, any thoughts ??

You need a cream called DERMOL. Its brilliant, you doctor should be able to prescribe it for you, they also make a liquid soap as a lot of shower and bath gels only aggravate this type of skin dryness. Try it and see how you go. Lyzzie.

I also use dermal lotion. I use it to wash with and then put a thin layer on after drying. Works wonders x

Hi there

I just use an every day moisturiser, but I have found it beneficial to use a moisturising body creme in the shower/bath.

I hope that you find something that works for you.

Like BlueMermaid3 I use a moisturising shower cream, then put one of those moisturiserlotions that you put on after cleaning yourself and then wash off and this leaves a none sticky film on my skin. If after that I have any reallydry bits I will add some rich moisturiser those bits that need it. I use the Nivea products.

If your skin is scaley as Hidden says Bio Oil is excellent. I remember buying some for my friend who had had her arm in plaster for 2 months and her skin looked like a reptiles and she was in despair. Within three days it was like a babies bottom (a clean one of course)x

I find whenever i take omega 3 supplements properly my skin gets alot less dry and needs less moisturiser. You could try these, aswell as maybe getting prescription products for dry skin. Also dont expose the driest skin to water or cleanser too often, maybe even apply coconut oil before you shower or bath to protect from the water. Or if not then apply the oil onto your damp skin afterwards. ALDI sell great coconut oil very cheaply now. Also make sure you only use warm water on your skin, not hot. Hope you find relief soon. X

Hi

I am currently using a cream called fifty fifty prescribed by my lymphodema nurse.

It is really messy but if you put it in the fridge overnight it makes it more useable and also cooler, but it is really good.

i use zero body wash, i have eczema as well as dry flakey skin, plus allergies to soap, zero works wonders, its less harsh on the skin, then i finish with either oilatum cream or doublebase cream. doublebase is more greasy i use that when its bad, oilatum for everyday when not so bad.

Hi, I also suffer with very dry skin.I use Aragon Oil Serum ordered from a tv station I'm the US.I use the shampoo, conditioner, and the serum I mix with my bubble bath.I use Vaseline Skin Therapy lotion but it's a constant battle. Good luck.Peck🐤

Hi, I have very bad dry skin, also suffer eczema with it, I use all my normal eczema creams, but I have started to try small drops of olive oil in with my e45 cream, and it seems to help. I normally have to apply 2-3 times per day, because of eczema, and the dreaded itching , but it may help you. Good luck with what you try.

I have had very dry itchy skin for about one year, the best cream for me was given to me at hospital, Doublebase, I have to apply lots twice a day. If I shower I itch very bad but I think with the cream that's getting better. Hope you improve soon.
