Thankyou for your comments, and you take care

Yes I do. It's blimmin awful. In fact I get pain all the way from my hip but then it seems to separate from my knee some how. When it gets too bad I just try to sit and rest it a bit x

Yes I'm sorry I do.

Take care and best wishes.

Hi bassqueen

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:

fmauk.org/

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling in this way, and I sincerely hope that you can find the answers that you are looking for. I always advise members not to assume that every pain that they have is Fibro related and if it is a new pain or it becomes a persistent pain then please have it checked out by your GP. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Two inches above each knee cap where the ligaments join the muscle is a killer for me after neck and shoulders. Heat pads help and Caspian cream rubbed in. A very strong natural pain relief from chillies, have to be careful applying it but gives really good relief after five mins!

Hi Bassqueen, was just wondering if you were suffering with the usual nerve, muscle, tendon type pain around your knee caps or if it felt bone, joint pain related ?

The reason I ask is my pains started off when I was 15, with knee pain, which I would describe as grating, bone joint type pain. During many years & 7 operations on my knees I developed the tendon, muscle, raw nerve type pain, but being so young at the time no one would listen when I said there were different types of pain.

I was eventually diagnosed with Chondra Malacia Patella, wearing away of knee caps, and had both knee caps removed in 1996, this stopped most of the bone grating joint type pain, but after all that time the Fibro pain had got as bad.

The worst thing was, when I was very young 4 or 5, my mom used me to the take the Dr's to say that my knee caps always turned in, but was told she was a paranoid mother, this was back in the 1960's. It was my knee caps not tracking up and down straight that caused the wearing away & although Dr's think I had the Fibro prior to knee pains, they believe it wouldn't have got as bad if a simple operation was done when I was younger.

I think we get to know the difference between Fibro pain & other pain as we have this awful condition for longer, so if you feel that it's more joint related, keep telling your Dr's this as a lot have a tendency to put everything down to Fibro once we are diagnosed sadly

Gentle hugs Karen
