Hi

I get terrible pains in my legs, particular down the calfs and back knee.  Can anyone recommend any prescribed creams or gels they have found useful.

Thanks

Have you tried Voltarol or Ibulieve? Not sure they would help but failing all else may be worth a go. Flexiseq is another one, natural apparently, but it's expensive and you have to take a hairdryer to it to get it dry. My step dad swore by it 🐸

Have used Biofreeze, Voltarol, Movelat, Ibuprofen 10%, capsaicin cream, deep heat, deep relief, and Ketaprofen

Pretty much tried the lot then. It makes it so difficult if there is nothing actually wrong except for the nerve signals misfiring. How can you treat something that's not there? Have you tried actipatch? A few folk on here have found a bit of relief using one. Others felt it didn't make a difference. That's a bummer! Hope you get a useful answer 🐸

I go to a local fibromyalgia support group and there is a lady there and she swears by a roll on from boots called biofreeze for pain she says she uses it on her back hips and knees. X

Hi

I use Arnica Gel for muscle pain can put on as often as you like comes in bath soak and shower Gel .

Or PROPOLIS gel that gives a nice warm feeling

I get mine from a well know shopping channel but is available in lots of places.

I sometimes think that the gentle massage you use when putting the cream on helps as much as anything. If you can tolerate the burning sensation capsaican cream can be good a stronger version can be prescribed by your doctor.

My personal favourite is Musselflex a cheaper version f Pernaton gel which is at first cook and then warms. If the pain us hot I find the cool gels best and on the internet you can find big tubs which are just as good as the dearer ones .

I personally found the very expensive Flexiseq hopeless but Lloyd's often gave it on offer and if course it could suit you. Best of luck with whatever you try.x

Hi Marky

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are struggling in this way, and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these pains. I do not use any creams like this myself but I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck my friend, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

I use Biofreeze this helps but is expensive. The active ingredient is 4% menthol. I am going to buy menthol crystals and mix them into some kind of lotion when my Biofreeze runs out.
