Think I might be having a flare up. Feel very sick, upper abdomen pain, like wind pains. Also a lot of pain where my liver is! Every time I eat about two hours after I'm on the loo and as soon as I wake up! Feeling rotten, can anyone give me any advise?

Diverticulitus
Difficult to say I have been rather like this for a few weeks it seems to clear up and then starts again. I have IBS and GERD so have put it down to that. If I increase my Lansaprazole tablets for a few days it goes.
Have you been trying any new meds or supplements lately. I have been trying some priobotic and also cod liver oil capsules as the liquid always used to upset me and I am wondering whether one if these is doing it. I have dropped off the cod liver oil today to see whether it is that. Foolish of me I know to start two together. Hope it is not the oil as I am sure my joints are less painful.
Have you ever had any gall bladder trouble as that can cause those sort of symptoms?. If the discomfort gets worse or carries on without easing I think you will have to go and see your GP.
Self help will be to eat very bland, easily digestible food for about 3 days nothing fatty or with alot of roughage as that can cause excessive wind which is painful in itself. Make sure your meals are small and often rather than large and infrequent. Stayong off milk, fizzy deinks and coffee often helps as well. f I get excessive trots I take a couple of Immodium capsules and that normally does the trick. Do hope you will be feeling better soon.😃x
Thank you for your reply, had my gallbladder out, so can't be that, I will try the bland diet x

I have also pasted you a couple of links relating to diets if you suffer with Diverticulitus, as they say certain foods can cause a flare up of the problem, so I sincerely hope that you find these useful:
