Hi all I hope you are all feeling as good as can be.
I wrote a few weeks ago about me starting hydro. Well I had 3 sessions and my body couldn't take anymore. I was in so much pain my whole body shook from head to toe
And it took me a week to get over. So iam sad to say I have stopped going as I was so excited to start, over the last 6 weeks or so I have had cronic foot and leg pain dull pain and it feels numb. Tried walking resting putting feet and legs up but nothing is working to ease the pain or numbness. And it has got progressively worse. Has others suffered with this. If so what's caused it and what is it..hope you all have a lovely day and Thankyou for reading my rants x

Hi Gilly2111, funny you say that this is my third course of hydrotherapy and while I enjoyed the previous two as they helped my back, this one they have been working on my shoulder impingement sand to be honest I've been in agony afterwards, so much so last week the next day after my session I completely lost the use of my arm with the pain. I've thought long and hard and feel I don't want to pursue this anymore if it's going to make me feel like this! I'm in agony with my shoulders and arms so am heading backs to docs to see if there are any alternatives. Good luck in your quest to find relief 😀
Awww thanks for the feed back on the hydro i was told by my healthy minds counselor that its supposed to work wonder bt unfortunetly not available in bham... Esp no chance on nhs lol would happily pay bt no where does... Hope ur feeling better soon
That's such a shame. If you do go back tell the physio about your reactions. Last thing they want is to give us more pain but it happens. Maybe a phone call? May I ask that if you're not going back that you let them know? Sadly the medical profession don't need many excuses to ignore us Fibromites and just not turning up doesn't do us any favours. I know that may be very difficult for you so maybe someone can do it for you. I hate the phone since Fibro struck so understand that one completely. Sorry, don't mean to go on 🐸
Just wondered how closely supervised you were with the hydro exercises as the physio had to stop me overdoing things as he said it could cause more harm than good. I have to say after the first three I think I did feel more pain but then magically I realised that I was moving better and the pain was lessening. Such a shame that it hasn't suited you it must be so disàppointing. I think if this numbness is getting worse you need to have a word with your GP.x
I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and I sincerely hope that you feel better soon. It is a genuinely shame that this did not work for you. Thank you so much for the feed back on this and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself.
Thankyou to all who took the time to reply.. It is so frustrating when things that people think will work wounders. Don't work for you. I hope it hasn't put people off trying this hydro therapy as what didn't work for me could work wounders for someone else. Don't give up. Take care x
