  • Welcome, sorry your feeling so bad , I agree it's a killer. When you post you need to lock it to Community, that way it locks your post to the forum, and not everyone on Internet can see it. You can edit it with the little down cursor, and you will get a lot more replies. Take care.

  • Arr thank you so much xx

  • Good morning, I went to bed at 4am so I didn't miss you by much lol. The fybro page is quiet active so there is always someone to chat to and even when you are at your lowest there is normally something going on to help cheer you up x

  • Goodmorni g andhang in there. Its rough being up all nite. Try Valium 4 the muscle aches and it definitely helps you sleep thru most of the nite. At least for me. Have a blesses day Lisa

  • Hi Bks72

Welcome to the forum 😊 You have found a group of the most incredibly kind, compassionate, caring people that I have ever met.

Since I've been a member of the forum I have made some wonderful life long friends.

It is preferable if you can lock your posts. The reason for this is that unlocked posts are open to the whole Internet whereas locked posts stay within our forum.  On the top right corner of your screen you'll find Step by Step Instructions on how to lock posts. It is under Pinned Posts which are all written in blue. If you need any help, please let me know. You will tend to get more replies to locked posts.

Please could you also have a quick read through our HealthUnlocked Guidelines. The most important ones are that we are asked to refrain from discussing politics or religion as these are very emotive subjects.

We also ask that photos of minors (children and babies) are not posted on the forum.  Swearing of any kind at all is not tolerated as it can cause offence to other members.

You may find it interesting to have a look at our mother site, where you will find lots of information regarding Fibro fmauk.orrg

I very much hope that you enjoy the forum and I look forward to chatting with you again.

  • hi and welcome, I've had two sleepless nights but collapsed in a heap and slept today, my legs feel like I've run a marathon though are very sore and twitchy. I know getting up and moving around a bit will help, so I will potter a bit. As Lisa mentioned I have been prescribed Diazipam for Restless Leg Syndrome. It is addictive but very effective, as a bonus it helps relax my neck and shoulders which are my main tension point.

The lack of sleep is a big one, I take Ambien a sleeper but sometimes that does nothing! Last resort is ear plugs and chilled out music, it's become a nightly routine for me and I feel helps.

    All the best

  • Just to say welcome.  You will find quite a few of us are still awake at 4, I being one of them but I try not to come on the computer but lie there listening to some relaxing music.  Insomnia seems to go hand in hand with fibro for many of us.  Yes the pain is made worse by not sleeping as you don't tend to gete any relief from it.

I agree it is very difficult for those not suffering from the illness to understand as we try to shrug it off and many look quite well but the way they feel is the opposite.  Look forward to your future posts.x
