Hi was hoping someone can help,I was due a assessment one 1st march but my Dr requested that I have a home visit, the next thing I knew I was told I no longer need to have an assessment as they have enough information and its now been passed to a decision maker I've been waiting a week and still no decision,I guess what I'm asking is what could it mean and how long will I have to wait

Many thanks

Hi there

I can only give you my opinion, but what I think is that you obviously have a very supportive GP and he has given the DWP enough information for you not to have to be assessed face to face.

Personally I would take this as a good sign.

As to how long you will have to wait for a decision, how long is a piece of string :)

It depends upon how much of a backlog the DWP has in your area. Some people hear very quickly, whilst others wait weeks.

Good luck with your outcome. Don't forget to come back and let us know how you get on.

Wishing you calmness and peace

I agree with Lou that this sounds good to me. If they had doubts about your authenticity they would be making that home visit

Let us know how you get on x

Hi

In my experience clients who are told their is enough evidence without assessment usually are awarded ESA .

If by any chance you are not ,ensure you appeal .
