Feeling Sad and so defeated

Morning all. I have been up all night with this awful virus on top of everything else iam feeling sad that I have all these evil things going on with my body.

Think I'm just feeling sorry for myself

Just shaved my hair (again) as the alopecia is back with a vengeance feeling as though everything is against me with these illnesses. And the doctors are not bothered what people have to put up with and live with day after day.sometimes I don't even recognise myself when I look in the mirror . Sorry for being so negative but life just sucks ATM and no ones listening to me. This is the only place I can really say what iam feeling without being judge. Think I'm going for a long soak in the bath and take my meds and try and get some sleep.

Thanks for being there x

So sorry you are feeling sad and defeated. It's such a horrible illness already and made so much worse when a virus comes on top of it all. Life just seems to throw it at us at times doesn't it? I would recommend asking your GP for counselling - I just did that and had 12 sessions at a very affordable price (I could have waited for free sessions but I didn't want to wait). And it was so helpful to have a space where I could talk about my feelings without being judged - sometimes it really helps to talk to someone outside your life who can see things objectively and suggest helpful things you might never think of, or just listen to things you want to say but feel you can't say to your friends or family. And this online group is great for that too. There's no shame in asking for help. Whatever you decide we're here to listen too. Take care xx

Hi my friend , my rheumatologist thinks the loss of hair for a woman is an important thing and should be rectified if possible, so I have had my vit d checked and will be on vit d for the rest of my life , I am now talking additional supplements and vits I take magnizium, milk thistle. Folic acid , he sent me to see dermatologist and I am also using regain for women , I am having to buy that myself , once a month I have just finished about at the end of second bottle you don't see any benifit of regain for 4 months , l am seeing a huge difference in the condition of my hair with the supplements and feel my scalp now feels better if a little prickly,I don't know if that is wishful thinking but I am going to give this treatment with regain a good 8 months ,

What have I got to loose , if nothing else why not ask for a vit d check done and take the initiative from the out come afte the tests.

I wish you well ,

Hugs

Chris xx

Hi Gilly

I am so sorry that you are feeling this way - I too had flu topped with sinusitis in January. This followed a flare up so most of January passed me by. I have to admit it all left me feeling rather down. I put it down to post viral fatigue and although it is taking time, I am slowly getting to feel better. It may be one day up and another down at the moment but it is progress.

I also think that at this time of the year when the weather is pretty miserable and the days can be dark it is difficult to feel good about anything.

Just remember that you are just as worthwhile as the next person it is what is in your heart that counts and not what you see in the mirror - we can't always look good when we are feeling so rough.

I do hope that you are beginning to feel better - we are all here for each other.

with kind regards.

Jane

I'm sorry to hear that you feel so low.

Sometimes you feel as if everything is against you. I know because that is me at the moment. I have Fibro,RA,B12 deficiency with numbness in my arms and hands ,and VitD deficiency. I have just got over a very nasty Celluitis skin infection. The beginning of 2016 has been hell.

Sometimes everything goes wrong at once.

Take care, enjoy your bath, and sleep knowing that you are not alone.

Take care.

Jane. Xx 💐💐🌷🌹🌸

Hi Gilly,

So sorry you are feeling so low at the moment. A virus on top of everything we are already dealing with, is horrible. Shadows Walker has recommended some vitamins that might help with your hair, do you take a good multivitamin? There is a theory that during the winter months we all need to take extra VitD, we just aren't getting the light we need to produce it.

I hope this morning that things don't look quite so bad.

Hugs from MariLiz x

Not getting your sleep is a sure lead into feeling down and ill, I am so sorry about your alopecia. There are days I feel the same about the GP's some are better than others, the restrictions they are under is terrible, 7mins for an appointment, I sometime could do with 7hours to talk about everything physically and mentally going on, but that is never going to happen, I have to ring my doc's for a phone conversation then if he thinks it is urgent enough he will allow me to go in and see him, I write everything down I want to say but never get enough time to say them !! I agree that pain is so difficult to explain to a GP and if they are not feeling it how can they empathise? I have bought some Melatonin on the internet, as I have been relying on an Antihystamine and Codine to put me to sleep for years, does not keep me sleeping and always feel groggy, did not know if it was this or Fibro head though, anyway the Melatonin is fantastic cannot believe how quickly they put you to sleep might help you as I said earlier, at least if you get your sleep you do feel a little more human, hope you feel in a better frame of mind soon xx
