For the past month or so I've had a warm sensation going down the side of my right thigh all the way down to where my knee is. I haven't been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and it doesn't run in my family. But my question is could this be fibromyalgia that's starting to work on me? If so what other signs should I look for? I'm only feeling it on my right side as,of right now. I have OA that I was diagnosed with last june. Or could this be a symptom that I'm experiencing from my oa? I need anwsers if anyone know what I'm describing. I feel it everyday anymore. I'm not sure what's going on. Thanks.

Hi JDQuinn75
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link to our mother site FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
I am not a doctor but I have a similar experience to yours, as I also suffer from a pain in this way, and I was diagnosed with Sciatica. My Sciatic nerve is compressed and it causes pain down my right side from my knee up my leg and into my thigh. On a very cold day it can spread into my bottom and lower back. I also have Osteoarthritis and thought this is what the problem was until I was sent for an MRI of the area.
It may be beneficial to discuss this with your doctor or Medical Specialist just to have Sciatica ruled out of the equation. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Jason, I was getting this same pain a couple of years before the Fibro really hit, but it doesn't mean that's what your experiencing, watch for other symptoms that might pop up, and Ken is right, get it checked with your Dr.
I plan to get with my doctor do to the fact that I seem to be feeling it more in my right side, especially when I'm relaxing. It seems that I'm always feeling aches in some part of my body. But Anita last night was pretty uncomfortable for me with thst symptom. It kept getting more intense. I have an appointment with my gp in march so I'll bring it up then. It'll be the first one with this gp because my other retired last month at the end of the month. But yes I'll be bringing it up for sure. Thanks for your info Anita. I'll be back in touch with you. Jason
Sounds like sciatica nerve pain to me, its a nerve in your lower spine. When you place pressure on it, pain runs down from your hip to your leg.
It my be from my oa that I have , because I've had discomfort in my lower back as,well. But that sensation down the side of my leg can be quite annoying and bothersome at times . That's why I was asking for info from others that have fibromyalgia. I didn't know if I was starting to get that as,well along with my oa. I mostly feeling it in the evenings when I'm trying to relax. I've had to keep my right foot on a couple of pillows for the last few weeks do to bad ankle and foot pain do to my oa. So when the warm sensation started a few months ago I didn't know if it was something else to do with my oa or some other for of arthritis like fibro that was starting. But that's for your input Yolzy. I greatly appreciate it. Thanks again. Jason
