Unfortunately diagnosing Fibromyalgia is an extremely long and drawn out process. Many of us on the forum have waited years, some even decades to get a definitive diagnosis.
Because there are so many other conditions that have very similar symptoms to Fibro, it is a matter of eliminating other illnesses first.
There is nothing to stop you making an appointment with your GP to discuss the matter with him or her.
Your GP will probably want to carry out some tests before referring you to a Rheumatologist. These are the specialists in Fibro. A Neurologist can also diagnose as well, indeed, as your own GP.
As we are not medically trained it is not within our remit to diagnose you.
Please do come back and let us know how you get on.
Good luck
Wishing you wellness and peace

As Painful Pixie has said it is a long road to diagnosis ( with wrong diagnosis's ) Fibro,
Sorry that no-one here can give you a Definitive Answer Barbara, but probably everyone here has a different story about how they were Finally diagnosed. Your GP is your first resource, so keeping a "Pain Diary" will help the Dr. to help you. You can certainly ask IF it could be FMS, but please Don't wish IT on yourself.
I think most people, on this Forum at least, would use a Wish for a Cure for this horribly debilitating condition !
So best wishes and I hope you're just having some Tension and Muscle Fatigue at worst, but as PPixie has explained, we're not Qualified to Give any Diagnosis on-line Here, but if you have FMS eventually confirmed, come back Here right away for all the Help and Support you'll need.
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling in this way and I would definitely discuss all of this with your GP. It could be Fibro? But then again, there are other illnesses with similar symptoms. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
Sorry to hear you are in pain, I regret i cannot add anything to what all our other fellow FM sufferers have said start with you GP, good luck.
I was diagnosed after several years of annoying my GP with my symptoms. As everyone has said it is a matter of elimination. I had countless blood tests for this and that and when everyone came back clear I actually started to doubt myself. The one thing I took away from all of that was that I was ill, I was not imagining it all and I had no reason to doubt myself at all. As suggested keep a diary so you have at hand your answers My GP did my diagnoses and although I would rather not have it, it is such a relief to get a name for all the grief it causes.
I hope you can get your diagnoses in a timely fashion
Have you had blood tests to rule out other conditions? Underactive thyroid, low B12, ferritin, folate, or VitD can all cause similar symptoms. Good luck with getting a proper diagnosis. Best wishes MariLiz x
