Hi, if anyone can offer any help or advice it would be much appreciated. My Story:
It started about 9 years ago. I was in quite a bit of pain. The doctors told me it was mild arthritis. After loads of tests etc it turned out i had prostate cancer. A year later it was removed. After the op and still in pain, they told me i had diabetes, In the mean time my arthritis had spread to my ankles, hips, spine, knees, shoulders and hands and in even more pain. A year ago i was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. My big problem. I always seem to be in rotational pain. With a continuous flare up. So most of the time i am really bad. Every rotation it makes my gums really bad. I feel like I am never out of severe pain. Has anyone got any suggestions or advice. It seemd I have tried every route without any success?
Thanks in advance

Hi, sorry to hear that you're in so much pain all the time. As you already know finding an answer is a very personal thing.
I found it really helpful to read 'The Painful Truth' by Monty Lyman. It's not about any particular medical condition, but about how, why and when your body creates pain signals. For me understanding helps to think about the range of options to provide some relief.
Drugs don't give enough benefits for me long term, but they were useful to break my insomnia for a few months. Others find they help long term.
My go to is definitely exercise. Even when I don't feel like it I do something. I stopped for a while and my pain gradually got worse, then it took ages to get back my previous level of pain control when I restarted.
Sore gums - yes. My dentist recommended checking Vit B levels. As (for me) they are okay, he gave me a list of foods that can make it worse. He also suggested that change in toothpaste/mouthwash might also cause a problem. Having ruled all that out, I'm getting on with it - knowing that it's not serious, just annoying.
I have noticed my gums have really reseeded in the last 6 months or so. I am not sure why this is happening? Is this a fibro thing? I have mentioned it to my primary care doctor who said she didn’t know that much about teeth to ask my dentist. I have a dental appointment either later this month or next month. There isn’t really that much pain nor tooth sensitivity so it hasn’t been on the top of my complaint list. I was just curious.
If you've ever had Glandular Fever / Mono, it may be that the Epstein Barr Virus was long-resident in its latent state in your sinuses and gums. This virus can re-activate when you get run-down, especially with a flare-up.
It may help the infection in your sinus/gums if you take monolaurin (concentrated form of Coconut Oil) and pure Bee Propolis. Also, do a thorough ant-bac mouthwash last thing at night.
As it's a virus, you'll also need to take plenty of rest.
There's a lot of info in medical papers you can find on the internet.
It may be worth seeing your GP and discussing this. I'm afraid my GP in Wales simply told me "it happens". No luck here in Northern Ireland either. At best, you may get a blood test and some antiviral treatment.
Thank you, I have started using a toothbrush in the morning and using a different one at night. Also using a mouthwash, also a seasalt wash daily. Regarding my pain nothing seems to work.My GP has said i just got to live with it. It seems I have tried everything apart from weed, but i cant have that as my diabetes has given me fatty liver and weed can be harmful to your liver.
