Hi, I have this and usually you have the signs for anemia which are feeling faint, dizzy, light headed and having no energy. Also you get breathless and need to lie down. The most usual symptom I get (or got before I had B12 jabs) is a very red and sore tongue all over. I hope that helps.

The symptoms of pernicious anaemia vary between individual patients, but the Pernicious Anaemia Society says those most commonly reported are tiredness, lethargy, exhaustion, fatigue, weariness and loss of memory.

Other symptoms associated with vitamin B12 deficiency include headache, tinnitus, depression, mouth ulcers and a change in the way you walk or move around.

Have a look at the Pernicious Anaemia society website, on there is a full symptom list that can be downloaded and printed out. Numbness, breathlessness, and dreadful fatigue were the things that hit me first, plus confusion and forgetting things, and losing my balance.
