So having suffered for years with thyroid problems finally two years ago they took the demon out.. Felt OK for a while.

Check up on Saturday...

Early menopause

Arthritis in hands....

Julie, maybe the dose of your thyroid replacement meds need adjusting, if you are undermedicated you will feel poorly, if the fibro diagnosis is new that could also be connected with low thyroid levels. Many people find with adequate doses their symptoms resolve.

If however you aren't on thyroid replacement that could be the answer.

I am on thyroid replacement. I take eutirox 100mg every day and twice a week 112mg( mon and thurs)

Plus vitamin d supplements

Early menapause can cause no end of problems as I know from personal experience. Have they suggested any hormone replacement therapy as that can make a great deal of difference?

Arthritis in the hands is a pain in more ways than one as I know as I have had it for years. Slowly massaging some pain killing gel into them before trying to do tasks can really help and do try to keep them warm and dry. Supportive types of compression gloves can be a great help especially when you are driving wore mine today could not manage in the cold weather without them.

The doctor said to see how I go over the next couple of months and then we will talk again about hrt.

The arthritis is bad only in my left hand at the moment which is unfortunate because I'm left handed and being a teacher I write so much!!

I'm trying to keep them warm as much as possible!! Xx

Yes I had that problem my right hand the worse and I am right handed and I was a trainer so making notes and marking all the time and then advice officer so typing and writing all the time, none of it helps.

Worth trying the HRT as it can be a miracle for some people my arhtritis, etc got so much worse when I had to come off it.
