My beloved companion of 15 years and best doggie pal, Fred had to go

So sorry for your lost, it's terrible, a real physical pain, but he had a lovely life and family and I'm sure that he loved you and wouldn't wanted to be with anyone else but you. Best wishes

Oh I send lots of fluffy cuddles to you, as I know exactly as you are feeling. It is not losing your pet, but a big part of your family. Hopefully, when the crying stops you will be left with lots of happy memories. x

My first dog was called Fred, My brother named him after the local bobby.

He was the first of 4 that we have loved and lost and it still hurts as much for each dog.

Sending lots of hugs and best wishes.

It's really, really hard right now and you have all of my sympathy. The memories will be there though for the rest of your life :-) Do try, in this time of grieving, to talk, remembering Fred's quirks, I hope that you'll be able to laugh a little in time.

Our pets live on in our memories, all having their own special place in our hearts. I have loved and lost many, one special boy chose me and lived for 2 and a half years but somehow his place is no smaller than those I've had for teens of years.

I hope that you'll find a special furry friend soon!

Oh samsnanna,

I'm so very very sorry for you and know only too well the agony which goes with losing such a beloved doglet. I grieved for months when my first terrier died, it was like losing a child (I hadn't been able to have children and Gertie was like my baby who grew up, saved my life literally and then of course died) - I was completely inconsolable 😢😢 Know though that you did the right thing for Fred, and now he is running free of pain and any suffering and will be waiting for you, forever, until you join him, then you will be reunited both reinvigorated and free to love each other once more, for ever.

Sadly, this is the price we have to pay for loving and being loved so much by our beloved pets, but I am sending you huge loads of positive soothing and healing vibes 😊

Foggy x

Dear samsnanna56, my heart goes out to you as I know how you must be feeling. I was also devastated when my dog passed away, and am currently in love with my kitty having had her for 10 years and always anxious if she seems unwell. I don't know what I will do without her, but hopefully I won't have to deal with that for some time. We can only comfort ourselves with the knowledge that we gave them good lives and loved them as much as anyone could.

So sorry to hear that Fred has passed away, it is like losing a member of the family. My parents' German Shepherd Gypsy passed away almost a year ago now. She was so gentle and affectionate, and I remember her funny habits - like if you threw a ball she couldn't care less, but if it was a stick, well that was her favourite!

Gone but not forgotten x
