Lipoma's

Hi all

Just wondered if others had lipoma's and if you have any difficulties with them?

I have several in my arms, a new one in my chest I've just had checked to make sure it was a lipoma.

Mine hurt if poked and prodded or if I just bump them, the one in my chest I only found because It started hurting due to wearing a new bra I'd done up to tight. One on my lower are you can see I use it as my example lump lol when I need to explain them to a new Dr or nurse. Now they are hurting when I lift my arms a bit like when I put a jumper or similar on.

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you have been experiencing Lipoma, and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this issue. I have pasted you a link below to the NHS Choices cache on this issue:

I have limpoma's and most of mine are tender too. Ironically, I have one in between my breast which was scary, but not cancer...just limpoma's. I have one in my lower back that actually, about once a month ( during period) becomes painful on its own...last for a few minutes and is severe, but then no pain unless touched. I'm sorry you have them, but I understand the tenderness you wrote about.

I'm sorry you have them too, it looks like it's more common with Fibro than I thought, I'm sure we have more we will find as time goes on, I'm pretty sure Ive got some at the top of my thighs.

The one on your back sounds bad! one of the joys of being my age no more periods lol so I don't get flare ups from that anymore

Sometimes mine are visible, raised bumps under the skin about 1-2 cm in length but not as wide, there are groups of them in both my upper arms and one I had checked out that popped up to left of my breast, it gets painful sometimes so of comes the bra lol, If I'm sensible and not over do things they keep quiet, try to do something like clean  a window and they let me know they're there.

It's a good idea to get it/them checked if they change shape or texture, I was told some time ago they were none cancerous and had just grown around my nerves but I won't think twice about getting one checked.

Aren't we so lucky with all these little extras haha
