I have been taking Prednisalone since last April. I also take a lot of other meds, but I have been noticing more and more frequently that I get this awful metallic taste. I was wondering if anyone else gets this ?

Metallic taste ?
Hi ,
I had the metallic taste from iron and calcium tablets and heart meds but my mom always got it with her blood pressure tablets. My brother gets it with his antidepressants and I know steroids can sometimes do that.Me an my mom managed to change to different brands of the same meds and no more horrible taste. So you're not on your own with that but have a word with gp they might change brand etc.
I have been taking Prednisolone for my Asthma and COPD for many years, I have a 10mg daily maintenance dose. I constantly have a metallic taste in my mouth as the steroids do not have a sugar coating on anymore. It may be worth mentioning this to your GP next time you see them? I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with this.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
I also have been taking Prednisolone as well as Quinoric and Risedronate. I get the metallic taste now and again, but it is accompanied by a strong metallic breath. My wife says she can even smell it off my clothes. I am certain it is caused by the medication, but wasn't sure which one.
Are you sure Prednisolone is the culprit.
PS I am new to this website.
