Hi

I got two ladies from age concern to help me they are not just for the elderly . They he,led me fill in the form it is hard to answer all the questions on your own. They also advised me to photo copy the whole form before sending it in so you have your own record.

I have just been to,d I can have the care part of the pip I was on the mobility anyway so I am very pe,asked with the outcome,

Hi laney

I have a medical assessment coming up (02/11) for pip claim, I filled out form myself with as much info as I could, also photocopied pages for my own reference before sending, I'm already stressing about this medical as I had a medical for ESA and was then told fit for work, I appealed and reapplied with new diagnosis and got ESA again, but I know what your feeling, I've had some good advice from members on here, basically magnify your problems blow them right up to your worst ever day, everything you say can be twisted and used against you, hope this helps and good luck xx

I agree with your post above also have any supported letters from Drs and hospital copied with your case. They didn't look at the form I filled in they have a computer and they are a different set of questions I felt to double up with the answers you may have filled in on the pip assessment form they send you.

ESA I am on and they told me I should try for work but had to point out hat everyday is different and if they can find me an understanding employer I would try. The job centre told me if applying for work don't tell them everything?

Hello my favourite toppic , ok

1 can get in touch with CAB or disabilities right advisor or advocate

2 , get them to fill in form don't do it yourself , goes against you . Concentration ,

3. You have bad days and really bad days no good ones any more

4. Answer questions as if really bad days it the truth in extrem

5 , food prep . You can't you don't ,reasons fatigue , pain and concentration. A family member or friend does it for you .

6 . Get supporting letter from said person.

7. Personal hygiene, you only do it as and when you can , it's hard admitting it but ,it hurts to wash hair etc , you have to sit , where edge of bath. Poss ? You need help you have to leave door open in case you fall , you need bath aide etc

8. Get supporting letter. For above if poss .

9 you have family member or friend do shopping it's a bad day really bad , get supporting letter.

10 . Hobbies ,you can't do what you did ,get up set shed a tear ,life lost .

That's your mental Heath bit covered

11. Driving you can't bad day , poor concentration,painful , can't turn blind spot not safe ,

12. Walking you cannot walk 20 meters or what ever it is on bad day ,you have to stop and rest . Sit lean etc

13 . If I forgotten anything please feel free to add on.

Make sure your not on your own when you have assessment make sure you make copies of form ,go through it before you have assessment, take advocate or person that helps you. When they ask questions your friend , partner ,family members do it ,

If you say you can do anything alone you will lose points. Everything you will be saying is the truth , you are talking about a really bad day not one where're you can manage.

Good luck Chris. X

Read xshax66 , posted stuff for her too , just in case I forgot anything , it's wrong the way we are made to jump through hoops when we don't want to ask for help and they know we are not able to help ourselves ,if I can help with anything else let me know.

Do not let it slip in any way that you have computer, iPad or a mobile phone that can go on the Internet. They will say you don't have cognative problems because you can use the Internet.

And letters and everything is read to you by someone else.
