Hello everyone can anyone help cos I'm finding it hard to work out a plan to pace everything

Hello manu. I dont have a plan, its more like learning to read your body and to do what it tells you. Some days i can get a lot done before getting the signals that it is time to rest.

Other days i get the signal as soon as i try walking from my chair to the kitchen.

To me it is when my body and brain start to struggle. Sit. stay. Or even go to bed for an hour.

Keep a diary, write down what you do and how stressful. Allocate points and then decide over time how many points you can use in a day. Lets say 10. If phoning your bank is stressful say 5 then dont do much else that day. If one day you use 12, went for a walk, met friends, had lunch then cut right back the next day to less than 8. After about a month you will begin to know what you can do.

Thank u Betty I've already done a activity pain diary as part of my manging fibromyalgia course I did day and time of activity how long it took and pain felt after activity with 0 as no pain up to 10 worst pain possible

So you are on your way, try colour coding that might help you better to spread out the reds.

I'm trying to plan out my days by pacing and not over doing things and trying to work out what I can do looking at my activity pain diary what I can do on a bad day and use that as a min and what I can do on a gd day half that as what my max is

I would write everything down in a diary and see how you stagger all of your activities. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.

I find my body doesn't work to a plan, I have to work with my body if I fail to stick to my plan because my body let's me down I tend to get really upset and feel more of a failure. I'm sorry if I sound negative but we are all different and we are all at different levels health wise the main thing for me is to stay positive but not push myself. I hope you're able to reach a solution without pushing yourself gentle hugs xx

I can't pace, as I can only afford to leave the house once a week, I have to get it all done at once, so I'm zombiefied the rest of the week!
