Has promised Ken, after the feastly supper.

Help yourselves to a cuppa all there.

I do love a nice thick slice of toast with marmalade, thank you my friend!

I shall eat this and then off to bed for a couple of hours, I am going to Dunhelm later to have a look at what net curtains and blinds they have? I need to measure up first. I have been shopping online for my granddaughters birthday next month, she loves the movie ''Frozen''. So I have got her a dress, two dolls and olaf cuddly and a couple of other bits of stuff. She is only two years old and is so cute.

I genuinely hope that you are feeling well?

Thanks for breakfast and night, night my friend x

My son's partner from Portugal has to have his marmalade posted to him from his Mum as the UK version is wrong. Marmalade originally made from quinces, and is delicious. Just wish Portugese custard tarts travelled well.

Think quince are called Marma in Spanish, if my memory of Blue Peter or The One Show is correct. I tried some once and lovely but food from home is important.

Oooh! I've got some quince jelly in the fridge, I bought it to have with tapas and Spanish cheese. I'll try it on my toast now, well in the morning, obrigado!

I'm even later, but if there's some toast without the marmalade, especially if it's nice thick spelt toast, then please may I have just the crusts, I love crusts. I loathe jams and marmalade etc., but a nice little jar of marmite would be muchly appreciated as would a lovely large proper cappuccino, molto molto grazzi 👍🏻😋😋😋😋

in reply toFibrofoggiest

Foggy! you don't like jams or marmalades. I make a really nice one (so I am told) with lemons and limes with a generous dash of cognac to bring out the flavours :)

Sure sounds good. Here I am having grits for breakfast but think I would prefer a crumpet with butter. Don't know what a crumpet is... but anything with butter is OK with me. Wish I had a plane ticket to hop over and try one. Y'all have a great day!

I have heard of grits, but what exactly are they?

Raking223 profile image
Raking223 in reply to

Grits are made from ground up hominy. We put butter all over them too.

Sounds good :)

Not to fond of grits ( please don't get mad I know it's a southern thing) guess it's because I had them to much as a child . I love some apple cinnamon oatmeal though with lots of butter!
