GOT IT WRONG AGAIN!

β€’24 Replies

Brian (my husband) has just spent the last 2hrs moving furniture from one bedroom to the other on my request. All for nothing doh!

I ordered new drawers etc and received an email with delivery dates, but as usual I got it wrong, and it's not coming until next month.

I must have read it at least 3/4 times and was sure it was for tomorrow. Now I've a very tired unhappy husband and 2 very cluttered spare rooms.

I give up 😈😫😑😁

Oh dear! I have done this myself and so please do not be too hard on yourself. Think of it as a trial run for the big day when they do arrive? I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and I hope that your new furniture is wonderful.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Jan,

I did the same thing with my MOT, I arrived to the centre and I am sitting there waiting with form in hand when the we man comes over to tell me it was three weeks ago,,,,! The thing that makes it worse I did the same thing two years running.

Why can't they all just pretend I am not here, it would be easier on everyone including ME !!

Sorry for laughing but I've been there many times. Can see the funny side tho πŸ˜‚

Don't beat yourself up honey, we've all done similar things, It happens. I'm pretty sure your husband will be ok when he's calmed down. Is there anyway you can leave what has been moved, or will It all have to be returned to the origional room until next month? I do wish you well :) xxx

No way, it's staying where it is and yes he's back to his placid self till next time hee hee x

I did that with my last rhuemmy apt, I could have sworn it said 12, just as I was about to leave I looked at my card and it said 11am!!! I phoned hosp and luckily they were running 2 hours behind so I still got seen :) x

I do this sort of thing fairly regularly, I have taken the kids to school when they have had exceptional closure days, kept them at home when I thought they were off but they were not, I have waited in for deliveries and phoned to complain when they do not arrive, only to be laughed at by the person on the other end of the phone when I call to ask where the delivery is.

I just take a few deep breaths, try and see the funny side and try to feel sorry for anyone who has been rude, they will have something happen to them at some time where they would appreciate someone being understanding

I hope you can both just laugh carry on

Oh dear don't worry two much , at least there spare rooms ,and it's not just up to you to read the mail ,your hubby could of checked the delivery note . It's not major tell your hubby to take a chill pill ,it's not like it's that serious . Shut the doors and forget about it .

Keep smiling

It's lovely to read we often see on here how the other half's have trouble understanding our issues. It's so nice to read how good your hubby is .

I recently came out of my first relationship in 8/9 years only 8 months but I had a bad flare to my exes lack of understanding and selfishness ,he was looking for someone to look after him only ,it wasn't a two way street thought I had found my Mr Wright but found another Mr wrong , never mind I have 3 lovely children ,2 wonderfully nutty dogs and some amazing friends .

And life is never dull

Been there myself at one time and swore I'd never marry again but fate had other plans for me.

You never know when Mr right will appear, usually when you're not looking.

You deserve better and so do your kids. No other love can compare to them.

Hugs πŸ˜€

Thanks ,we'll see don't go looking even when I was well everybody thought I was married I have that persona apparently ,I did enjoy the company while he was nice in the early few months .Murphy my beagle has just pinched my blanket he just jumped up and took it beagles like to wrap themselves up. Thought I'd share that πŸ˜€

I am ok get a bit lonely sometimes but the dogs are great the children have flown the nest ,although the eldest is coming home for the next 4 months to help me and herself me I need practical help and she needs emotional , so hopefully it will work .

Thanks for the hugs ,

Hope I'm not too late with this idea: Is there a chance you can just "enjoy/use" the spare room the moved furniture is in now, for the fairly short time until your new arrives to the empty space?! That seems a simple solution to me, and then you are just ready *very early!!!*

Sending vibes of "being agreeable" to your other half! And gentle hugs to you ... don't worry, we all do things like that! bk

in reply to BaffledKaffy

There's still a bed in the front room so we stayed where we were minus drawers etc πŸ‘¨πŸ»πŸ‘©

Yes, we have all done that but at least it is done now despite the clutter but you could go now go through the clutter and decide what you don't want, which may do you a favour. Just remember you're never on your own and just look after your poor husband though!

Thank you good idea when I can muster up the energy. I've closed the doors on it for now πŸ˜›πŸ˜‰πŸ‘«
