go in for it what was the worst they can say. Is no and they have said that to us all in one way or another so go for it . but I would say get help in filling it out . fight back or someone like that as the CAB have had a lot of there money taken of them so don't even know if they still take people on to do it . But go for it

I have pasted you the link to the GOV.UK cache on how to claim Attendance Allowance and eligibility:

GOV.UK - Attendance Allowance

gov.uk/attendance-allowance

I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with your claim.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Go for it in our local paper the government were urging people to claim senior benefits (Inc pension credit )

If you're under 65 and live with someone, they might be able to claim carer's allowance. It's always worth putting in a claim.

Good luck!

If you are eligible because of your age e.g. 65 or over please do go for it. One of the things I used to do with my old job was fill in AA forms and assume that the rules haven;t changed too radically. Do keep a diary for a week noting down from waking to sleeping and through all the night how long it takes you to do things and what the difficulties are and how it makes you feel e.g. tired and breathless or in pain or all three. If you need help with the form this makes life for the advisor much easier as they can see the full picture. It used to be how often and the length of time it takes you to do things so don;t underestimate how long things take you e.g. the diary as people often used to say "I can wash and dress in 20 minutes" then when they did the diary and timed it found it it was more like an hour as we all learn to live with our disabilities and underestimate how much they have actually changed our lives.

Do have a look at the link that Ken has given you. If you have to do the form yourself read all through it and get whatever supporting evidence you can, use your repeat prescription form as evidence of what drugs you are on and remember to put down all your hospital visits, etc. If there were aids you tried to use but were unsuitable for some reason do put that down to show that you have tried to use them, same with drugs and any side effects.

Good luck.x
