Lol my grandson you to go out the flap then our boxer would! The boxer would the proceed to corral him and get him back in. The boxer would then lay down in front of the flap! Smart dog funny thing we never taught him to do that! He just didn't like boys outside without one of us!

How smart of the dog to do that ... I love to hear stories about animals being so protective of "their little kiddos" ... It really touches my heart!

He could be trained as a service dog very easily. If I am having a bad day. He will walk beside me. My daughter is night blind. When the lights go out he will walk beside her and keep her from walking into anything. If kids are outside nobody can come in the yard if we don't tell him.
