Hello everyone,
Hope you're all okay!
I have recently been diagnosed (finally) but I was wondering if anyone has any weight loss tips?
I am going to join the gym soon for some gentle exercise..
many thanks,
Ryan

Hi Ryan. I too have only recently been diagnosed. I've 3 stone to lose and finding it hard because I can't do anything too strenuous. So I do yoga and pilates. Just one of each per week and use what I've learnt to do just 10 mins of stretching each day to get me mobile. I'm also no longer comfort eating! The weight is coming off slowly which is a good thing and I'm becoming very toned.
Good luck, stay positive and keep smiling.
Best wishes

Hi Ryan
I have had real success with the 5/2 diet. I have lost about 1.5 stones (around a pound a week) and am now close to my target weight.
It is surprisingly easy to follow and as you are only dieting (fasting) on two days which is not too much of a hardship.
If you are interested I would recommend that you get a copy of Dr Michael Mosley's book The Fast Diet. It is a very good read and explains all of the science behind the diet and also answers a lots of the questions you may have. Dr Mosley is very well known and frequently on TV. This way of eating has rid me of all of my bad habits like comfort eating for example.
I also do very gentle yoga once a week.
hope that this helps a bit.
Kind regards.
Jane
for me the exact opposite. i used to be so active, did everything top speed. took me a long time to re-adjust, but I'm still me even if i'm slowed down to snails' pace. Tulip x
