I found that going to the gym helped me a lot but unfortunately I have become a lot worse over the past 4 yrs but I have had it for 15 yrs and I also have other health issues so the gym is a definite no no for me when you join you will get a once over to see what you can and can't do and they will set you a target ask your doctor about it and he will explain it all to you good luck hun hope all works out for you xx xx
I do physiotherapy, CBT counselling (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and have a combination of medications including Pregabalin and Nortriptyline. It may be beneficial to discuss something like this with your GP?
I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck with your appointment.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Welcome to the site Lara. I think you will that by the time you have had a good chat with Occi they will asses your, mobility particularly back hands legs everything. They will they sort what is the best help for you. It could be gentle exercise or they may offer you aids to daily life.
Best advice is just be your self and tell it how it is on a bad day !
Good luck

Welcome! There are lots of different treatment options to help with Fibro - I tried them all & found most not much use! That's just me though & what works for one, might not for another!
I tried physio but because I have Osteoarthritis in my neck & upper spine, it was extremely painful, so this stopped! I had Acupuncture, which was great when it was the 'global' Acupuncture but not so good when they moved to specific pain points!! I won't go into detail but that stopped too!! I have found the Pain Clinic & the Mindfulness Meditation the most helpful.
Unfortunately, I cannot take any pain medication.. well, only Paracetamol but that doesn't really count!! I have a heart arrhythmia & stimulant pain killers are not allowed! I can't take anti-inflammatory's due to Asthma!! Nightmare!
I have yet to try swimming, which my Specialist advised recently.. our local pool is actually really expensive, which I was shocked to find out! It costs a fortune to be healthy! The last time I went swimming it only cost about £1.70 & you got 50p back if you took your locker key back!! Now it's £9.60 for only 90 minutes!! OMG... !
Anyway, got off the track a bit there... Ask your Doc what your options are for treatment in your area. I think treatment differs from area to area. For example, I can go to my Pain Clinic every Friday... It's a 'drop-in'. Not every area offers this service. I can also see a Pain Specialist at one of our many Medical Centres. No harm in asking though.
Best wishes...

Just been to Doc this morning she believes Physio not relevant I am on amitriptyline and now tramadol she also recommended swimming and go back in a month to see how it has been matter of trial and error she says 😳
What bothers you the most ? Need sleep med ? Need pain med? Ask doc what he/she recommends to start you on a long journey of figuring out exactly what you need and what will work. Foot patrol , feet bother you ?
