So sory to read you are in so much pain it sounds like you are having a bad flare and to be quite honest the wet weather does not help fibro as we all seem to be in more pain when it is like this.

Don;t worry about posting just read our posts and hopefully get comfort from them they are a great bunch of kind, supportive people on here who have great empathy and understanding.

Don't apoligise for feeling sorry for yourself as we all have these low spots and sometimes a good wallow is very theraputic.

Have you managed to look at our mother site FibroAction as there is a wealth of information on there and tips to try and ease the pain.

If it all gets too much for me I go upstairs and have a long Epsom Salts bath whilst listening to some soothing music and then get into bed and try and distract myself with a good book. I also gently massage some aching muscle relieving gel in some of us find the hot stuff works and some of us the cold it is according to what sort of pain it is as to which gives the most relief.

Take care, soft hugs coming your way.xxx

Welcome indeed. Let's hope your quest for answers and relief isn't a long one. Browse around the topics and related posts on the right and drop in on the mother site. There's plenty of good advice out there. In the meantime big soft hugs and feel free to dip in and out. :)

I haven't been diagnosed as such but due to be tested for this. What do the tests involve..?? I worried had blood tests x rays done and come back clear which I know is a good thing but I still a mess. My last x rays on my hips I've not asked for results yet cause they don't find anything . I've aged so much in the last 7 months it's unreal. X

Usually the tests are for other things and Fibro is diagnosed after elimination of other illnesses. There are a series of tender point tests that a Rheumatologist may undertake to check where you are suffering with pain. They are simple enough finger tip touching and applying pressure so please do not be worried by this. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

First, has a doctor diagnosed you with Fibromyalgia ? Next, is to work with your doc to find right melds that will relieve your pain for short periods. In addition to melds, I also wear a pain patch that I change once a week. I also use lots of Salonpas pain patches that you can find anywhere. Put them on the trigger points, many times go to bed with 10+ , just depends how bad it is . There is no cure but you can get help for the pain.
