Hello everyone. I'm new here. I found this site when I was looking up stuff about head soreness.
I touched the left upper part of my skull diagonal to my eye. It feels like someone bashed it in, it's so sore. I don't remember hitting my head or anything and it didn't hurt till i touched it. Now it kind of throbs. I have no pain or tenderness anywhere else.
I'm worried I might have a concussion?
I'm also very sleepy. But I always am...

I am so sorry to read that and if you feel that you may have concussion it would be beneficial to visit your GP, local Walk-In Centre or A&E and have this looked at? I wan to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with this.
hi, you could have sinus problems. does it hurt if you tilt your head down. you are best seeking medical advice. you could be worrying over something that can be easily treated. let us know how you go on xx
Hello, I have a tender point on back of head which flares up often and radiates out, sometimes get a headache with it, the other tender point next to it doesn't flare up as much.
This is so part of fibromyalgia....even days when touching your HAIR hurts. Air pressure changes, your head hurts. Does not matter your age, you feel as if you are of very elder age in your body. This pain will come and go. Right now, having a thunderstorm OUTSIDE and my body started yesterday having one in my body. I feel the weather changes (barometric) 24 hrs ahead of time. Besides the body feeling like I was hit by a massive weapon, my sleep factor...oh I want a nap! Brain fog, etc.
There are many good reference books out there that tell about these things. We used to have a physical support group which helped for those needing visuals, professional speakers, etc. We would have hands on therapists...chiropractors, acupuncturists, pharmacists, eye doctors, dentists, they all deal with us when we have fibromyaliga. Dentists in our local area invested in special chairs/neck pillows for fibro patients...Love my dentist's chair! Eye doctors...they need to know about your fibro and meds...scripted or over the counter...they are better educated in the fibro, etc actioin than they were 20 years ago.
Our support group also covered chronic pain conditions as well. I was the education support person, ran it out of the local hospital. The doctors would ask for feedback on what they could do to help FMS with....More alternative cares being refered to! So the spot of pain on the head, get a person specialized in acupressure points to help....this may be your icing point or pressure point for your body....I use gel packs on those and it helps make the pain disappear.
I also have the same tenderness in the same place, it hurts when I brush my hair or the spray on the shower even hurts. Could this be another symptom or our horrid fybro ????
I have this one spot on my skull that all of a sudden will give me a shooting pain or throbbing pain. It's always in the exact same spot, and sometimes happens when I'm stressed. I never thought of it being from the fibro. I'm so glad I read this. I also have RA and polymyalgia rhuematica and you can have a vasculitis from the last one. I was always worried it could be a blood vessel. I'm relieved it's fibro instead of vasculitis. Thanks everybody!
