Hi all what I would like to know if you are awarded pip is it back dated I got a letter to go and see someone over it I'm well nervous can anyone tell me what to expect please xxx

ive have just been awarded PIP standard rate daily living

i got my award notice last wensday and the back date was in my bank the next day

At my PIP assesment i was just myself said how it effects my day to day life .

the asserer had me doing a few things like lifting my arms legs which i found difficultly

This was the second time i applied for PIp the first time i got turned down even by the tribunal then i applied again and i think the asser did understand fibro

Thanks love do they backdate it from when you sent your form in I suppose they can tell when someone really struggling can't they my partner does everything for me just scared I'm going get took off it lovexxx

yes they do as i appied in november 14 and they back dated it till then

If you are awarded it then it is backdated from the date you first applied and if you have a refusal and then appeal and are awarded it you used to get it backdated from the first date you applied but I think that this has now changed and it is not now possible to get it back dated to the first date but only to the date your appeal was successful. I may be wrong on this but I sure that some one will correct me if I am wrong !!

Yes you get back pay from when you put in for it have you had your assessment yet good luck x

Back dated from the date you apply if awarded it. The examination will be in the form of a medical in that they are very interested in what you can do and not what you cannot do I suggest that you take as much medical documentary reports as you can.
