It has taken us 2.5 years, but we now are a fully fledged registered charity! If you live in the Coventry or Warwickshire area and you need some help, we are here!

Hi sparkymark,

I saw earlier you have a group that meets up in Coventry on 2nd Tuesday of the month?

Could you send me some info please?

Thanks

This is actually the Coventry Fibromyalgia Support Group which meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Central Methodist Hall in the lower hall. They do not have a meeting in June as they are going on a day trip to Stratford so the next meeting will be the 14th of July and the entry fee is £3.

Well done I worked for various charities and I know how difficult some of these things can be. I am sure that the people in your catchment area will be very pleased with the outcome and the help you can offer.x

If you go to the Charities Commission website, you can download an application form there. You will need to be a registered company ltd by guarantee with Companies House as a not-for-profit organisation. You will need a list of Trustees, a constitution and they will probably come back to you with a list of questions and other information required. The process is quite straight forward, but may take some time as they have a 3 month back log at the moment.
