Back to the doctors again

It seems calling the doctors has become a regular Monday fix in my life. They only operate a callback system now, and if the mean Dr (the callback GP) tells me one more time I'm coming down with something I will shove her into a clinical waste bag (a used one at that). To save on the violence, I've decided I will refuse to speak on the phone about my health and ask for an appointment with a GP who in the past has taken time to listen to me.

My symptoms are becoming more and more like ME and my life has been put on hold. Completely.

Today I placed an order with Wiltshire Farm Foods as I can no longer cook for myself and my wife is about to start working shifts in her new job. I'm probably the youngest person ever to place an order with them but I must say I'm looking forward to the variety and ease of it all.

Hope you are all having wonderful weekends and are looking forward to the week ahead.

Karen xx

So sorry you are so ill at the moment. I think these telephone consultations are okay if you just want a bit of advice after you have actually seen a doctor but for them to replace an actual appointment i think is ridiculous. Hold out for a proper appointment.

My friend had the Wiltshire meals when she had her knee replaced and hubby who is elderly himself had enough to do looking after her. They actually loved the meals and the vast choice of menu and found because the portions are smaller that they both lost weight which in her view was an excellent outcome. She said she would not hesitate to have them again.x

I can't wait for them to arrive, but don't want to lose weight, I'm super skinny as it is, and not through choice!

Not sure I can face an argument with the mean Dr tomorrow!!

Hope you are well. Hugs xx

Have a meal and a pud supposedly they are lovely. My friends were healthy eaters in so much as what they eat was healthy but to be honest they eat too much of whatever it was so that is why they lost weight.

Good luck tomorrow as I can imagine you dread it. These doctors seem like our masters sometimes that we have to obey but lately I have started to ask more questions of them and query things and I can honestly say I wish I had done that years back.

Let me know how you get on.x

hi, sorry you are so ill at the moment, just wanted to say I understand your frustration about phone consultations, our surgery is the same. At our surgery you are supposed to be given an appointment if you ask but I have asked several times to go in and been fobbed off on the phone. with an illness where you have memory problems its horrible. I have to try and get an appointment this week, wish me luck!!! xx
