My lovely daughter treated me to an overnight stay at the spa at centre parks locally as a birthday treat. I had a great time and the hydro pool was very beneficial.
However the next day at home I woke up feeling terrible with fatigue and pain and couldn't function for the whole day. This always seems to happen to me when I go to things. Does anyone else find this as it's putting me off going out and enjoying myself.

Yes, I have had this happen. Too often! Sometimes I feel better with activity and sometimes worse. For me, it may depend upon the type and amount of activity.
I find a supplement named "D-Ribose" very helpful. It restores ATP directly into the muscles for muscle energy. I feel we need to move enough to keep the lactic acid flushed out of out muscles as it can add to pain. Hydration, stretching and strengthening, with some cardio workout.
Hi iluvcatsuk, yes, I too suffer for the good days when I do more than I would normally do, and yes, it puts me off doing things now! Your Daughter does indeed sound lovely. So nice to get a treat like that. Please don't get into the rut of thinking that you are going to suffer after doing things and so start to not want to move from your seat or bed. That is how come I now am finding it hard to get back into going to my tai chi classes after the Xmas break. I know it's sometimes hard, but keeping going is one way of, well, keeping going! Once you get into a good routine -resting, pacing yourself, keeping on top of your pain, - then being in a good frame of mind will help you keep going. It's not easy I know, but it's worth the effort trying, so good luck to you and gentle hugs to help you, Julie xxxxx
I am so sorry to read that your birthday treat was ruined by how you felt the next day. I must admit that I always feel awful the day or two after I do anything that breaks my routine and it doesn't feel fair and it really does spoil things. I sincerely hope that you start to feel more like your usual self again soon.
