About a month ago I went to see my doctor, generally feeling unwell, calf muscle pain as well, a blood test showed raised red blood cell count, it's been a month now and have just had a repeated blood test which showed that my liver is mored controlled, whatever that means.
I'm Still feeling extremely tired not wanting to do anything, I do housework, but by 12.00 I feel shattered.. I'm having pain in both calf muscles and also both knees, the left is worse very painfull to touch and can hear it clicking as I walk. Both legs painful and by the afternoon, I need to rest, get them really warm, painkillers, then they ease a bit. I'm seeing my doctor, I just feel she will say it's fibro get on with it?
I have amitryptiline and pain killers but that's all.....just feeling down at the moment, I half wish my blood was still not right as i would have something to show how I feel.
I have tried Gabapentin was put off by the list of side affects.

I'm sorry you are suffering so much at the moment!
I'm not sure if I can suggest anything to help, just want you to know you are not alone. I have been having a lot of hip pain for the last few days.
Just listen to your body and rest when you can. If you feel that it's not down to the fibro then I would go back to your doc and tell them how you are feeling.
Thank you, it does help to talk to someone else who understands, there is something wrong, I have fluid wear and tear, plus something is popping out so X-ray and physio, she is a very good doctor, it's so easy to blame everything on fibro.....
I am a fine one to talk however if a medical professional says something you don't understand keep asking questions until you do fully understand. As for medication I know what you mean about the list of side effects, I read the list and almost expect to have every single one of them, very rarely happens. All the best. Lou x
I am so sorry to read that you are suffering so much at this time, and I genuinely hope that you start to feel better soon. I can sincerely understand just how debilitating it can be and how it can drain and drag you down. I sincerely hope that you can find the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve.
I have had an above range (nhs) red blood count for all of 2014. I only found out by accident as gp not mentioned.
I have a ridiculously long list of symptoms, but my bones/joints click & clonk on movement (c spine & hip worst, currently ribs), fatigue & faint yellowish area on face cheeks, but not all the time.
Please could you tell me what investigations were done re bloods? Feel free to send direct reply.
Hi, sorry you are not well, I've only just started having tests, X-rays for both knees physio, I'm in such pain, doctor has said my red cell blood count are not too high at the moment, my liver, doctors going to contact someone who understands the liver. I'm in a lot of pain, hope you can get yours sorted. I don't feel well at all, it's hard with fibro you hardly ever feel great..
