Eyes hurt
The optician shone a bright light into my eye at the last examination so I would give your eyes some rest before considering an eye examination (it smarts a bit at the time the headache that followed merits mention) based on my own experience hypersensitivity is best treated with the sunglasses your using.
I have been getting this lately and driving is terrible I just want to shut my eyes and go to sleep then hope it's gone when you wake up but it's not and very dizzy. Is this to do with fybromyalgia does anyone know x
As you are concerned and it impacting on your life I would say yes go to see your optician or GP but if the examination is going to make your eyes worse you would be wise to not go on your own and do not drive.
Hope you find a solution soon.
I have some night driving glasses (none prescription) which take out the glare of the headlights and the reflection that you get back when it is raining at night make driving easier they have a yellow tinge to the lens I wonder whether something like that would help? If it is getting worse I certainly would have another eye examination just in case their is an underlying cause that is not fibro as eyes are so precious.
Hi tinkerbell66
I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way, and you are not alone by what I have read above my post? I too suffer with this problem and it gives me really bad migraines. I want to wish you all the best of luck and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this problem.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Bright headlights cause my head to ache like the migraines I used to have, so I don't drive at night now.
I hope you can find a solution soon.

What rotten luck ! I have light sensitivity as well. Varies from day to day. The first thing is go to an optician and if they are any good he will refer you to the hospital. Best of luck Ginsing
HI. I already have a problem with bright lights as i am epileptic but it had definatly got worse got worse since i developed ME. I am not sure going to the optician or doctor will help.
I have stinging eyes quite a lot too but didn't connect it with fibro though it wears of when I splash cold water on them & I haven't been to the dr for a few weeks but think it's worth mentioning it I will the optition would of noticed if anything wrong they usually do hope you get it sorted hugs sent xx
Thank you for all advice will today make appointment to my opticians .I noticed other day I can't have my lights on my Xmas tree they irritate my eyes ,.
Hi Tinkerbell
I suffer with exactly the same problems. Not only do my eyes sting, and water but my head aches terribly. I have avoided any sort of driving when it gets dark. Like Rosewine mentioned in her post, I did buy some Night time anti glare glasses, but had never used them.
I used them them other evening and they really made a difference.
