Hi,
I managed to submit half of my question, yoga - has anyone tried it and did it help with fibro at all? A friend has asked me to go to a class with her, although I do stretches shown by physio I feel as flexible as a plank of wood.

I was doing it and it was helping till I had other complications. Good luck x
Hi again, as I said in your other post, I gave it a go but it did not work for me! However, I really find my physiotherapy very useful and helpful. I find my physio is much easier to grasp and perform.
Good luck with your Yoga class if you decide to give ti a go.

I used to do Yoga many years back as it was suggested to me by someone as something very good to do before a major operation and I must say I recovered from the operation really fast. I have just been given some exercises by the NHS physio and remarked that one of the exercises was just like one of the Yoga ones I used to do and he said alot of the exercises were based on them. I think it is worth a try but do make sure the Yoga teacher is properly qualified and let them know you have health problems as not very position might be suitable for you. Good luck if you decide to try it and let us know how you get on.x
Yoga, Body Balance, Pilates, they are all great for your physical being and promote a stress free mind too. All these exercises will improve your flexibility, not to mention much stronger core muscles and good balance, but only if you stick with them.
Hi there. Personally I find yoga and pilates really beneficial both for stretching and relaxation. I think it is important to find a teacher and class that you can connect to, and not to push yourself. It was a couple of months before I saw any improvement. Enjoy x
