Hi everyone. i have had a rough few days, my gp changed my meds, she upped the pregablin to 1 in the morning 2 at night, i am currently taking 450mg a day. She also changed my antidepressants to sertaline i think. i am currently taking one 1 in the morning but i feel so spaced out and tired all day after taking them.
Went to see another GP yesterday as was not feeling at all well. i have a virus in my throat and she did a urine test which showed i had an infection, although i have had no symptoms. ( that is a relief). She did say i felt like i did was a mix of the throat, urine infection and the new meds. I have been so tired i cannot function very well at all. I am now considering taking the antidepressants at night to save the drowsiness during the day. Does anyone else take them at night? Is it wise to do that or should i continue to take them in the morning?

Sorry you are feeling so rough ((hugs)). I am not medically trained. I take Sertraline but take it in the mornings as I dont find it makes me drowsy. Its been a god send to me and I couldnt be without it! Maybe give it a chance to settle as it may not be the Sertraline making you drowsy but a combination of everything?
Sorry you are feeling the way you do at the moment, hope your infection clears soon.
I used to take Duloxetine and did so for years, until i started feeling nauseous as a side effect. They were stopped and Sertaline was started alongside my other medication including Pregabalin. My GP advised me to take it in the evening but I personally just couldn't get on with it at all. So now I take Venaflaxine which appears to be suit me personally, although we are all individual and what suits one may not suit another.
According to the FibroAction website below SSRI (like Sertaline) are less often used for Fibro (see below) but that doesn't mean they won't be suitable for you.
You may decide to trial these for a while before making any decision either way.
Here's the excerpt from the website & the URL link below;
Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) are a more modern type of antidepressant. They include citalopram, fluoxetine and paroxetine. They are used less often in treating Fibro because they work almost entirely on the levels of serotonin, but they can be better tolerated than TCAs in some people
Serotonin-Norephinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs) are an even more modern class of antidepressants and they work on both Serotonin and Norephinephine levels, like the TCAs do. They include venlafaxine (which can also have a slight effect on dopamine levels), duloxetine and milnacipran
Hi I take my antidepressant at night and I'm on 600mg pregabaline a day got used to them now but I was really drowsy and spaced out at first just got to get your body used to the drug ive always taken antidepressants at night x
