hi louise, sorry to hear both you and your daughter are having health problems.
is there another gp in your practice you could go to? or, ask your rheumy if he could make an app't for both of you.
there are many conditions that share similar symptoms and we cannot help with a diagnosis, none of us are allowed to do that.
I do hope that you get some answers soon.
regards,
hamble
Hi louiseamos
I am so sorry to read that both yourself and your daughter are really struggling at this time and I genuinely hope that you can both find the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve.
I have pasted you a link to a page on the FibroAction website that gives details of Fibro symptoms. (Please remember that other illnesses also have the same symptoms so it can be difficult to diagnose Fibro?) It also has a printable fact sheet that you can take with you to your next appointment in case there is anything here that you want to discuss with your GP:

I would personally recommend that you keep a pain diary for both yourself and your daughter. Whereby you keep notes of what type of pain you suffered i.e burning, aching, throbbing etc. How long the pain lasted and whereabouts in your body the pain was? If possible try and mark the pain on a scale of 0 -10, whereby 0 is no pain and 10 is the worst pain that you can imagine. Keeping a record of this nature could help your GP and Specialists alike tremendously when they are trying to diagnose and treat both of you.
I want to wish you all the best of luck with finding some resolution and relief to these issues.
All my hopes and dreams f to you and your daughter.

Hi sorry 2 hear use r going through a hard time it's not nice at the best off times never mind when your looking 4 help. I suffered with the sun rash etc but I didn't no it what it was doc done bloods and turned out 2 b lupus. Then I took fibro after that, really hard going both these conditions really life changing. I have a great rhemo doc and hope that the one u see will just be as nice and understanding.
Ruth
I'd have her checked by a specialist, and tested for lupus also. Hope this helps sweetheart!!! xxx Mitzi
hello,
I agree with mitziblue and ruth it could be lupus as the face "butterfly" rash was the last symptom for my diagnosis for lupus.(after I had been in the sun ) maybe worth asking for a blood test. kens idea for a diary is an excellent one as it will help give a clear picture to how your daughter is feeling . keep pestering your GP's though.
hugs to you both x
