Hi there fibro10, I can't respond categorically on this as from what I understand things differ from hospital to hospital. I think what you must do is to make who ever you see in the Pain Clinic well aware that you have had surgery recently and I am certain they will of course take that into consideration.

Wishing you the very best :-)

Hi fibro10

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I have pasted you two links to two differing NHS Hospitals, and from what Foggy has said, they do appear to be slightly different in their tailoring of the their Pain Management Clinics.

Hillingdon HNS Hopsitals:

thh.nhs.uk/services/pain-mn...

University of Leicester Hospitals:

leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/...

I genuinely want to wish you all the best of luck with your appointment, and I really hope that it goes fantastically well for you.

All my hopes and dreams for you

I only had to fill in forms and then had a consultation. I am lucky that my consultant is a fibro specialist. He then sent me to aqua therapy which I enjoyed. I now have finished this and am going back and he will send me to phycho therapy. Good luck

Every place is different sweetheart, but just let them know about your surgery. They should be able to help you manage your pain so that it's bearable. It may take awhile though as everyone is different and they'll have to find the right fit for you personally. Best Of Luck To You Honey!!!! xxxx Mitzi
