Went to the clinic for the elderly today (I'm 62) about the problems I am,experiencing with my balance. Something not right with the sensations in one of my feet. So blood tests, a brain scan, physio referral and a follow up appointment in three months.
Does it ever end?

Some days I don't think it will. Managed to struggle out to meet a friend which was a bad move as I am now propped up in bed in agony. She is 66 and I am 63 and unfortunately the whole of the conversation seemed to be health related as I was sitting there propped up in agony with her coat behind me as an extra cushion and she was now walking with a stick as her knee keeps on letting her down and she like me has multiple health problems too and is waiting for all types of tests as I am waiting for a physio appt. Probably like you I was hoping retirement would be a time of leisure and enjoyment, ha! ha! that seems a distant dream. Trying to always hope that there is some good news around the corner. Well I did have a letter from the Inland Revenue with a cheque for a couple of hundred as I had supposedly overpaid on tax, the way it is going lately I will probably have another letter tomorrow saying they have made a mistake. Hope you get to see the physio quicker than me there seems to be at least two to three months waiting in our area.Sincerely hope that the tests give you some answers to your problems and that it is something simple which can easily be put rightx
I am so sorry to read that you are going through the mill again, and I genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you really want and need.
I can imagine that this has brought you down somewhat, but please try and look on the bright side? They may find an answer to the issue that is tangible and can be sorted?
So sorry sweetheart!!! I to feel this way. I get through one thing and another one pops up. Waiting now for blood work results and September 10th I have to have a probe down my nose into my stomach to see if the muscles in my esophagus are working right, then another probe goes in for a 24 hour test to see what my acid levels are. Not looking forward to having this done. I have two pups and they are going to drive me crazy wanting to sniff at the probe which is a no no. Hang in there sweetheart. I guess we all are fighting something. I just try to remember there's always someone much worse off than me, it keeps me going. Hope you find some relief for your suffering!!! xxx Mitzi
