My thoughts are with you today and hope your assessment go's well for you, Try and relax and take your time with your answers. ( I know this can be difficult ) but answer as if its your worst day.....They will ask what you spend your day doing and the tasks you can undertake......If you need to rest after doing something.....If you need to go to bed during the day due to tiredness tell them....Also the support you need just doing your household chores....Shopping, cleaning or getting around......Every little helps as they say !!

Best wishes, We are all thinking about you too.

Thank you so much just so nervous and most days I don't do anything there gonna think I'm lazy but I'm not just to hard some days so easier to do nothing and help everyone else cook the dinner I always forget when I cook when I've put it in I need step by step instructions just to cook a piece of toast u forget I've put it in until it burns and I smell it the other day I boiled eggs until they burst in the pan which made a bang that's how I remember I'd put them in simple things seem so hard but thanks Il just have to see what they throw at me I really hope they explain there questions as I need self explanatory questions lol thanks again

Is it possible for you to take someone with you? Someone who knows what you are going through and can help you with your coat/bag/paperwork and take notes of all your answers etc....as security said, answer all the questions as if it's your worst day and don't try to do things that are difficult! Never say you can do things "sometimes" as they take this to mean you can cope!!! If sitting for a while becomes painful ask your friend to help you up and move around a little bit, then continue! I hope it all goes well on the day and you keep us posted on the outcome!! Much love....ninja...xx

Hi Dod79, I had mine this week Monday, I asked for someone to come to my house. She was lovely lady but then they all are, the one thing I must say she didnt try and "trick" me!!!! Like other assessments I've had. I really hope you get good result, its horrible that we have to explain all the time how draining it is for us. Sending gentle hugs Dod79. Xxxxx

Thank you I did ask if they could come to mine but I would have had to waited longer and I applied in October last year so feel like I've been waiting forever we live in a council rented house so the kids dad has moved back In to help me from day to day the council have made it impossible for him to stay at home and help me as we have to pay full rent and council tax so he has to go to work to pay the bills they make it so hard I wanted someone I knew to help me in and out the bath and my day to day cleaning and caring for our kids but as I say they have made it impossible for him not to be working . Makes me mad that there are sonny people out there claim things they don't need thanks again for your reply gentle hugs back

Oh crikey hope it all went well for you - only just seen this post. I had my DLA tribunal today and won it is 18 months since I applied. I hope they gave you PIP at your assessment. I was told afterwards that I had been awarded the DLA for life as I can hardly walk. It is so cruel making people wait. Hope everything is good for you gentle hugs x

Hello, each time I read about all of you going for these assessments, and the stress they are causing, I start to think when ever mine might be due, not heard a word from them upto now, don't relish having to apply and start filling out miles of forms, then photo copying them, always do, so I can remember whats on them, To all who have been so brave and taken on the feared assessments, good on you, ttfn
