My mam has been poorly lately with acid build up n depression and now having problems with horrible smell in her nose and sore face

Her face is sore to the touch the smell goes from smoky to sweet soapy smell any ideas anyone? Thanks

hi nicola, I'm sorry to read that your Mum is having problems.

what does the gp say? it's always advisable to get new or altered symptoms checked out.

I have a distorted sense of smell, but not because of fibro, nor anything sinister.

please let us know how she gets on.

I am so sorry to read that your mum is suffering in this way and I genuinely hope that she can find some resolution and relief to this issue. As hamble99b says she should really discuss with issue with her GP, just to rule anything else out. I am not a doctor but it sounds along the lines of an infection or a sinus drip? So she should consul her GP?

need to see a GP, my mother was a nursery nurse and she also said that people smelt different when they were ill. My husband can tell when someone is pregnant (before it shows) by their smell. This is a sign that needs to be investigated. Hope you Mum feels better soon.
