I work for dwp and am currently struggling with fybro and am unable to go to work due to chronic headaches and muscle stiffening . I am amazed at the volume of people who have their esa rejected when suffering from this absolute devastating illness. I have just had a major relapse and have been in chronic pain for 4 weeks now I have been trying to go to work but have to leave early and use up holidays trying to recover I am at my wits end
Hi Bren, wishing you all the best, i recently had apip assessment snd the assessor was kind, courteous and knowledgable of fibro, i hope you have the same.
Hi and a Big Thank You for your lovely messages of support...
Yes I've had my ESA assessment today and oh boy I'm i happy to have that over and done with..I think this was harder than the PIP... Very nice Dr that did the assessment but i was so nervous and in so much pain that i actually felt that i was'nt really there i guess with all the build up my nerves shut down...He did say that i should hear in about 3 weeks, I did feel really silly when i left the room my friend who had waited for me asked if i was ok and i became a right mess the tears just would'nt stop and it took me a while to pull myself together..
Well done bren876, I will keep my fingers crossed for you now! I can genuinely understand the tears as these things are so stressful and can really wind you up inside.
